A commitment to responsible business practices, ethical AI, and sustainable impact at a global scale — PGX Group has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact, the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative.
Overview
The United Nations Global Compact is a voluntary initiative based on CEO commitments to implement universal sustainability principles and to take steps to support UN goals. With over 20,000 companies and stakeholders from more than 160 countries, it is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative.
By joining the UN Global Compact, PGX Group formally commits to aligning its strategies and operations with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption — and to taking action in support of broader UN goals and values, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This membership marks a significant milestone in PGX's journey toward becoming a fully responsible, purpose-driven technology company — embedding sustainability not as a feature, but as a foundation.
What This Means for PGX
Joining the UN Global Compact is not a symbolic act — it carries concrete obligations and public accountability requirements. As a signatory, PGX Group commits to:
-
Annual Communication on Progress (COP) PGX will publish an annual report outlining its progress against all ten principles, ensuring public transparency and accountability.
-
SDG Alignment Our product and services roadmap will be explicitly mapped against the UN Sustainable Development Goals, prioritizing SDG 8 (Decent Work), SDG 9 (Innovation), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG 13 (Climate Action).
-
Ethical AI Governance All AI products deployed by PGX will be subject to a formal ethics review process, including bias audits, explainability requirements, and human-oversight protocols.
-
Environmental Stewardship PGX commits to an 18% year-over-year reduction in operational carbon emissions with a net-zero target by 2030, backed by measurable milestones.
Our Commitments Under the Ten Principles
Human Rights (Principles 1–2)
- Uphold internationally proclaimed human rights across all operations and supply chains
- Ensure PGX technology is not used as a tool for surveillance, discrimination, or rights violations
Labour Standards (Principles 3–6)
- Uphold freedom of association and recognize the right to collective bargaining
- Eliminate all forms of forced, compulsory, and child labour in our supply chain
- Eliminate discrimination in employment and occupation
Environment (Principles 7–9)
- Adopt a precautionary approach to environmental challenges
- Undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility
- Encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies
Anti-Corruption (Principle 10)
- Work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery
- Maintain zero-tolerance policies and regular compliance training across all business units
Looking Ahead
PGX's UN Global Compact membership is the formal beginning of a long-term commitment. In the coming months, we will publish our inaugural SDG Impact Report, launch an internal ethics review board for all AI deployments, and establish partnerships with local communities and civil society organizations across Southeast Asia to advance digital inclusion and sustainable development.
We believe that the most enduring technology companies are those that create value not just for their shareholders, but for the societies they serve. This is not a constraint on our ambition — it is the foundation of it.
